Safer Dancing Venues

Special Conditions pertaining to the premises are:

Door Supervisors

1. All door supervisors employed within the licensed premises must be registered with a scheme recognised by Coleraine Borough Council. Appendix ‘E
   
2. The licensee shall adopt in full all conditions pertaining to Appendix ‘E’ – Additional Conditions for Places of Entertainment Providing Dance Events.
   
   

These conditions shall be met by providing the following:

1. First aid boxes
2. Written drugs policy
3. Incident log book
4. Registration of door supervisors
5. Agreed signage re – admissions/searches
6. Access to free drinking water
7. Drugs information leaflets
8. Cloakroom facility
9. Registration of female door supervisors
10. Trained medical cover
11. Designated rest area
12. Air conditioning
13. In-house training for staff
    
    Requirements 2 (k) and 2 (I) will be individually assessed by Council’s Licensing Department to ensure adequate arrangements are being provided. All conditions will come into effect from the issue of this licence.

Initially, there will be phased introduction of these requirements to facilitate any alterations to the premises and the supply of drugs information leaflets.

Note

At present there are 26 licensed premised within the Borough that employ registered Door Supervisors.
