Overheating

The licensee shall provide adequate rest facilities, clearly identifiable as such, which are cooler, quieter and separate from the main dance area(s). These facilities shall include adequate seating. Section 4 (a).

The rest area provided must be proportionate to the overall magnitude of the venue in order to avoid over-crowding of this area.

It must contain adequate seating.

A rest area must be clearly identifiable by the displaying of signage informing patrons of its location.

This area must be cooler and quieter than the main dance area(s) and where required mechanical ventilation must be provided.

The means of ventilation must be appropriate to the type of venue and event. All systems must be in full working order and in operation at all times during events.

System failures arising during the event must be remedied as soon as possible.

All air conditioning systems must be fully functional.

In the event of a system failure or should the systems be unable to control the ambient temperature and humidity within the venue then the licensee must introduce further means of temperature control.
